Inspiration Avenues Team Challenge ~ Texture!

I was so excited about starting this, my first team challenge for Inspiration Avenue! It's all about texture, & a mixed media collage seemed like the perfect medium. A little woodsy square that i made a couple of years ago with polymer clay  became my inspiration jump off point. Lots of gorgeous handmade papers, vintage items, including a playing card from France, a large piece of mica & some other finds compose this highly textured piece.

  14. Thanks Dianne about the compliment/comment on my blog,
I was thinking of doing several sketches (I did another last night of a pine cone) and offering them as cards after printing them up either myself or with moo.com. I also thought the originals could be either postcards in a sleeve or see through envelope or just offer them as mini art. Do you find your ACEO's sell? Thanks for the compliments, sweetie! I'm making my way over to IA soon, slogging my way through email!
I sure do love your submission this week!
    Best,
    Jenn of www.JustAddWaterSilly.com

    1. "aceos, do they sell?" ...yes. I opened up my shop at the end of July & i have sold 6 of them, 2 5x7s, 2 pieces of art jewelry & 2 bookmarks. I really love making these very affordable little works of art & find myself more free to experiment in this size. Give them a try girl & see what happens! :D

So nice to have you at IA and I am loving your your first piece. I love the words and the two little blue birds waiting expectantly and viewing all their glorious surroundings! I am not good at waiting, but waiting expectantly usually means something good is coming!!
